This weekend it was finally warm enough that Clay could brew. So that is what he did. We now have 5 gallons of Scottish Ale fermenting in the mini fridge. In about three weeks he will transfer it into a keg, which is what I got him for his birthday last year. I'm so glad I was out of the house when he was brewing. That has to be the worse smell ever. I thought it was because I was pregnant the last couple of times, but no, it just reeks.

Elly's Birthday
Today Liam went to his first Birthday Party. Elly turned one at the end of January. She is a little girl that we know from church and play group. Liam had so much fun. He refused to take his nap so that he could play with toys, eat cupcakes, and open Elly's presents. I can't believe how fast they grow. Liam will soon be 10mths and not long after that we will be planning his first birthday.

This One's for Mitchell
Check him out. Liam is rocking a Queen tee that Kayla and I found at Target for a $1.50. The shorts came from Aunt Norm, and when Daddy was getting ready this morning we spiked his hair (not that it needed much help). Mitchell is a huge classic rock fan. So we thought he would get a kick out of this.

Church Picnic
On Sat. we had a church picnic. We had a lot of fun just hanging out and eating. Liam got to play with all his buddies. Here he is playing with Daddy's new kick ball. All three of us lathered up with sunscreen, but Liam is the only one who didn't get burnt (while using baby spf 70 I might add). I guess he takes after Grandma Gil that way.

Tick Bite

Last night I was giving Liam his bath and he fell trying to stand up in the tub. So I quickly scooped him up and tried to calm him down and get him dressed. I notice he had what I thought was part of a leftover blueberry from dinner but it was stuck. When I took a closer look it was a deer tick. Crap. As some of you know, Clay and I have a set of friends that have Lyme disease. So I called Clay and told him what was going on and then we hung up and he called the on call dr. and I called my mom. Mom said to use a match to stun the tick so he releases, which is what I remember doing being a kid. However, that isn't what you're supposed to do. By startling it with the heat the tick may vomit its stomach content which may contain Lyme. You should take a piece of string instead and wrap it around the site not the tick and slowly pinch it off, making sure not to squish the body. We also place the tick in a baggie in case it needs to get tested. It wasn't embedded yet so it must have crawled on him that morning when we went outside to hang the diapers on the line.

Curtains
They are almost done. I'll post the pics when I'm done.
Thing of the Week
Here's Liam's new thing for the week. It has been entertaining him quite nicely, especially when he was running a fever last week.
