Sandbox

Liam had so much fun playing in the sand at the playground yesterday, I thought it would be fun to put him in his. I thought he was still to little to use it and that we would just eat the sand. He proved me wrong. The sandbox came from our neighbors who moved out and didn't play on taking it with them. They wanted Liam to have it.

Day at the Park

Since today was so nice, Kayla and I took the babies to the park. Liam loves playing on the swings and the slide. Isn't he the cutest.

Thing of the Week

Liam has a few things this week. This new noise, pulling himself up in the crib, and he's starting to crawl.

Since we had a very crazy week last week, I didn't get to post Liam's new thing. So it's a little late but here it is.

This weekend the guys wanted something to do and it turns out that the comic/anime/games/sci-fi convention was going on in Orlando. They had always wanted to go but always had something come up or they realized it was the weekend or two before. So after Liam 1st nap we loaded up the car and headed out. It was better than I thought it would be and I also realized that Clay and the FIT guys aren't as geeky as I had thought. Dad was right, Clay only registers about a 2 on the nerd scale. They had a lot of Sci-Fi guests that even I recognized such as James Hong who is in literally everything, Lando, Jabba the Hutt, Chewbacca from Star Wars, as well as Data and Geordi La Forge from Star Trek to name some. Not to mention 90+% of people there were in cosplay. After we left we went to Pei Wei's for dinner. What a fun and weird day. Hey look I found Waldo.

Poor Sick Little Boy

Liam has been sick this past week, but when he started pulling on his ear, we decided it was time to take him to the doctors. Turns out he has a ear infection in one ear, the other is completely filled with fluid and has started to get infected, and he has pneumonia. Dr. Lockhart said that if we did bring him in last week she prob would have sent us home thinking it was a cold, since its been going around and he didn't have any symptoms other than a runny nose. If he did have an ear infection then, she said it prob won't have been far enough long yet to even give Liam meds. By waiting a couple of days it is a lot easier to diagnose him correctly and it saved us an extra trip to the doctors. The antibiotics will work for his ear and the pneumonia if its bacterial, if its viral he will have a cough for the next 3 weeks and there isn't much we can do. However, if his cough is worse by Friday, I need to call so we can put him on breathing treatments.

Thing of the Week

We have been playing peek-a-boo with Liam. This is the first time he has done it all by himself, or at least that we have noticed. I've also finished adding his 9mth photos to our Flickr Account.
