Dinos at the Zoo

 

 The zoo is having a dinosaur exhibit from Feb-May, so true to our fashion, we waited until May to go check it out. Liam was scared of the dinos at first until we told him that they were robots, then they suddenly were the coolest things ever.  Here is Daddy and Liam standing at the Dino entrance.

Liam's 3yr Checkup

On Wednesday, Liam had his 3yr check up. He was 39 inches tall and weighed 32.5lbs.  I had told him ahead of time the things the doctor was going to check so he would hopefully not freak out on her.  It worked. This was the first time we didn't have to pin him done to get his ears and eyes check. In fact, he proceeded to tell the doctors she still need to check his uvula, as well as his heart. This trip was also the first time he had to do the eye exam chart. He did great telling the nurse the different shapes.  My favorite was when she got to the ring shape and Liam promptly tells her .... ummm Target. Gotta love that boy.

We went over my concerns with Liam and his quirky eating habits which led Dr. Altenburg to ask an array of additional questions.  She feels that he has some traits that are associated with Aspergers.  She proceeded to tell me she isn't saying that he has Aspergers, but that he has some Autistic tendencies and that we need to keep a close eye on him.  I have always,well before Liam was one, said he was OCD or something.  Well Clay says this is or something.

Side note: The photo is from yesterday. I left the house Before it started to rain, it started to rain so we turned back. That's when it decided to pour and by the time we got home it had stopped and didn't rain the rest of the day.

NC Trip

Last week Clay and I took Liam to the Mountains while Brennan stayed with Grandma M and Popi.  We had planned a week of white water rafting with Clay's college buddies. The first night we were there we went out for some pizza. James just had to buy Liam a mustache.

Liam caught his first fish with some help from mommy.

We also took Liam to his first movie, The Avengers.  He's now in love with the green man, aka the Hulk.

One of the days the guys went rafting I took Liam to the aquarium.

The aquarium had an awesome interactive area for the kids.  Liam is laying on the floor watching the penguins swim under him.

Liam quickly got the hang of it and was telling us forward three and to pedal (you know, instead of paddle).
