So Close

I am so close to being done with Liam's room. I only have a few things left to do. I still have to get a rug as well as paint behind his nightstand (with chalk board paint). Which when there's two beds in there, then the nightstand will go in between them. But, for right now it's just up against the wall so Liam doesn't use it as a ladder onto the full size bed.

Sorry the photos are dark, but the weather has been gross out.

I made the back two standard shams as well as the multi stripe throw pillow, the bedding for the toddler bed, and Liam curtain panels.

Day at the Zoo

We meet up with some friends yesterday at the zoo. Our plan was to let the kids play in the water park for awhile since it was so hot, then to go see some of the animals. Well, the weather changed that. There was a clap of thunder so the pool area was closed for a half and hour. Will and Jen got their kids some ice cream and Liam was just happy to have some ice cold milk. But, Olivia thought it would be nice to share hers with Liam. Too cute.

Tick Tock Croc

Lately Liam has started watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He loves this song tick tock croc. He'll ask for it over and over. Liam will even sing and dance to it. Unfortunately it is stuck in mine and Clay's head. Tick Tock Croc Video

Progress

This week we have started painting Liam's room. Here's Daddy and Liam setting up.

This was after Clay finished above the chair rail and I started taping off my stripes.

This was the 1st round of stripes. I still have the other half of stripes to go.

What's for Dinner

Liam loves to help make dinner. As soon as I start dinner, he runs into the other room and gets a chair so he can help. The other day we made Mexican Taco Shells. I was browning the beef while Liam was stirring water that was heating up for the shells. He is very careful not to touch the stove. Liam also says red. hot. yeah, red. hot.

Painting Liam's Room

Since Clay was painting Liam's room today, he thought that Liam would love to help. So after dinner we striped Liam down to his diaper and gave him a brush. Liam was unsure at first but he quickly got into it. He was even telling himself good boy and asking for the bucket (for more paint). Video of Liam painting.

6mths

Look at that baby grow. We have hit the 6mth mark and my belly is getting huge. I feel great other than being tired, but who knows whether that's because I'm pregnant or if it's chasing a toddler. The heartburn had definitely hit with full force and my feet are starting to swell. The baby moves constantly. Liam thinks he can command the baby to kick on cue, which cracks me up.

We still haven't picked a girls name but we like Brennan Jay if it's a boy. A couple of weekends ago I put the crib together and bought a new mattress since Liam has the other mattress in his toddler bed. I have also washed and folded all of Liam's old baby clothes and put them away. We still have to clean out the rest of Clay's office/guest room, and I would like to paint Liam's room before the baby gets here.

Playing Outside

Yesterday we took Liam's truck outside in the afternoon. He kept filling up the truck and dumping it out. Typical boy. Here he is enjoying being outside. The link is to some video that was too long for Blogger.

6mth Checkup

I had my 6mth checkup today. Liam and I had to wait 50min before we got called back. But LJ did so good. I think he is getting used to going and waiting for doctors at this point. I now weigh 173lbs, thanks to a holiday weekend, and Liam was 30lbs even. My blood pressure was great at 102/60, which according to the chart that is what children and athletes are normally at.

My UA was off. The doctor said my levels were low. I knew that it would be, it was so hot this weekend and I know I didn't drink enough water. It should bounce back in a day or two. However, the baby's heart rate looks good. He kept kicking the doppler off my belly, which was making the OB laugh (she was just about to ask me about movement). Liam on the other hand was mimicking the doppler sound and saying baby, yeah, baby, and of course telling the doctor about the rocket and his "are-knot".

I did tell doctor that I was having some anxiety due to my friend that died two weeks ago during an emergency c-section. I made her cry but she reassured me by telling me that most complications are with 1st time moms. She also said that she only knows of one death since 1990 and that mom was over 40. My next appt is the 1hr glucose screening in July.
