Valentine's Day Crafts

So if you know me, you know I despise Valentine's Day.  However, just because I don't care for the holiday, doesn't mean I need to pass that on to my children.  So I made an effort this year to get more in the spirit for my boys, which means decorating. Here Liam is painting wooden hearts that we later added our nicknames to.

The finished hearts, hanging in the boys bathroom.
 My heart argyle wreath.

Snacks! M&M, almonds, blondies. Liam's choice, which he help bake.

Weekly Update

Since Clay has started feeling better, we have been back to kayaking more as a family. We have gone every weekend in January so far, plus a couple of extra days thrown in between.  Here Brennan is sporting his wind blown look after one of our trips.
Liam got a chef hat and apron for Christmas from one of his cousins.  He has gotten really into baking which is making it that much harder for me to lose weight.
Brennan saw the Pediatric Ophthalmologist this month to recheck his eyes. They look great and he is definitively growing out of his false cross. He'll have to get them check one more time before preschool though to see if he'll need glasses for his nearsightedness  As a treat for being so good, the boys had ice cream for dinner.
Liam also got a light saber from Uncle Jimmy, which he loves (to hit Brennan). And yes, that is Star Wars on in the background.

Family Day

So back in Dec (I know, I'm behind), we took the boys to Mayakka State Park. What an awesome day. Shortly arriving at the park we saw these two gators, they were huge, and not huge as in fat, like they are in the zoo.
Why walk when Uncle Jimmy and Grandma will carry you?
Liam and Daddy on the Tree Top Canopy Walk. You can't tell from the picture but this is about two stories up. Man did it sway in the wind.
Looking down to the bridge we crossed.

The boys on the coolest and slowest air boat ever.  But we had a blast. The boat ended up hitting a gator and a three fish jumped onto the deck. It must happen a lot because the driver grabbed a spatula and flipped it back into the water.

Christmas Part III

On Christmas Day we went to church with my mom and dad and when we got back the boys opened their stockings. Liam was so excited he got his castle and yelled "Santa went to Target!". Haha too funny.
Brennan got his own so he'll leave Liam's alone.
