37 week checkup

Today was my 37wk checkup (well 36 1/2). I'm measuring at 36cm and was 190lbs this visit, which is down one pound from last week. My blood pressure was also good at 122/70 and I didn't have a lot of swelling in my feet. I had my Strep B test taken today as well, and I will find out the results next week. I'm currently 25% effaced and she said that my cervix is really really soft and on the verge of dilating. Next app is Thursday.

Family Filled Weekend

Saturday morning was my baby shower for Baby Duo. Mom and Shannon came up Friday afternoon and the Gilmores got here early Saturday morning. Liam was so excited that everyone was here (and so was I). For the shower, since Clay and I decided not to find out what we are having, the girls dressed in purple or green depending on what they thought we were having. It was a lot of fun.

Look at all that GREEN!

We found out on Saturday that Clay's uncle was up in Merritt Island with the boys for a football tournament. So we drove up there to hang out with them. Afterwards we all went to dinner at TGIFridays. Yummy! There was a helicopter that kept circling the field, which Liam thought was the coolest. He also really liked the 5yr cheerleaders, which he cheered and clapped for when they finished their half time show.

Punch Drunk?

I'm not really sure what this is. I told Liam it was bedtime and he decided to do this over and over. I think he's trying to do a split, but where it came from I don't have a clue.

36 week checkup

Today was my 36wk checkup. Clay came with me this time so we could record the baby's heartbeat like we did with Liam. As well as be a second set of ears for the questions I had for the doctor. My weight was high at 191lbs and my bp was up at 120/75. Baby is doing well, moving a lot, and is head down; where as I'm getting really uncomfortable and my feet should be the newest Macy's Day Parade ballon. From here on out I'll see the doctor every week.
We also got a copy of my chart in case the hurricane decides to turn and head our way, since we would head to Bradenton. I was really confused when I started reading my medical record showing I had two late miscarriages, only to realize that I was reading someones else chart that they gave me by accident. My documents were behind hers and they looked accurate as well as very detailed. Can't believe I only have 4 weeks left.

Two Engineers at Work

Clay was fixing his computer this weekend. Of course, Liam thought it was the coolest thing ever when Daddy opened it up. Here is my two engineers at work, or rather playing.

Wiggle, Wiggle

Liam was watching tv the other day (two weeks ago) and learned how to wiggle. He was so excited to show daddy one morning. It was the funniest thing, I wished I had gotten to the camera before he started to get bored and backed up against the wall.

34 Week Checkup

Today was my 34 wk checkup. I was 184lbs and my BP was 112/62. I'm measuring right where I'm supposed to. Everything looks good. I was concerned about having bladder spasms earlier this week so I was curious whether it was a start of a UTI, but it's not. Woohoo! Especially since they can't even give me the good, strong antibiotics.

Dr. Zylman kept commenting on how smart she thought Liam was. Probably because he said Baby Doctor when she walked in, then proceeded to mimic the dopplar sound. He was also playing with a toy very intently and telling her all kinds of things (which have slipped my mind at the moment). She said that she thought he was going to grow up to be an engineer. I had to laugh. I then told her that basically everyone on both sides of the family are engineers. As she left the room, Liam said "bye" and "have good day", which put the biggest smile on her face. That little booger is the cutest.

Family Fun

Because Tropical Storm Emily grazed our coastline, my dad and my brothers came over this morning to surf. After they where done surfing, we meet up with them for lunch in Cocoa. Liam was so excited the whole trip up there. He kept saying Umpa M, Umpa M. Like always, no one had any suggestions for lunch. Clay had spotted a Tijuana Flats as we where driving into town and I thought that sounded awesome. The service was horrible. I asked for chicken & bean and got beef with olives, yuck. They forgot Liam's M&M's and Dad's burrito, I think they went to Mexico to get the tortilla. But we got to see everyone and Liam did fantastic with it being way past his nap time. All and all, we had a great time. Here's Liam with his uncles at lunch.

8mths

Less than 7 weeks to go. Starting to have a hard time sleeping at night, but that's to be expected. Baby Duo really likes kicking my sternum too. It's enough to knock the wind out of me. But for the most part I feel great. I'm still walking in the mornings, its just getting slower. I also told Clay that I have a funny feeling this baby is going to come early (it doesn't help that it's also hurricane season). Starting to get nervous about havng two kids. Yikes.

Teeth Trouble

The past week has been really rough. Liam is cutting his two year old molars and is driving me crazy. He is miserable and inconsolable. When he cuts teeth, he also get diarrhea. The other day he had eight blow out diapers which resulted in seven pairs of shorts for the day. I had to buy some disposal diapers this week since I just can't keep up with washing my cloth ones. Liam's poor bum is so rubbed raw that he immediately starts crying when he goes to the bathroom. The poor guy hasn't eat in four days, and wants nothing but milk. The funny part of the whole situation is that when Liam's tooth/gums hurt, he always complains about his foot hurting him. He has done this since he turned one. I don't get the connection, but he is consistent. Thank goodness for chocolate, caffeine, and Mickey Mouse.
