Brennan's 2wk appt

Yesterday was Brennan's 2 week checkup. It was just a nurses visit to check his weight and height. He is now 7lbs 14oz and about 20 3/4inches long. He looks good and is gaining weight like he's supposed to. Brennan does well at night. Typically he'll sleep 3 sets of 3hrs at night, which mean I only have to get up twice in the middle of the night. Also Brennan and Liam's longest naps overlap. So even when Brennan has a bad night, I can still get a nap in. I can't believe Brennan is already two weeks old.

Jacob's 2nd Birthday

Today I took the boys over to Jordan's house for Jacob's 2nd birthday play date. We had a lot of fun making necklaces and having cupcakes. Here is Penelope, Jacob, and Liam eating goldfishes before all the kiddos got there. We made noodle necklaces.
Liam also made Brennan a necklace.

Brennan's First Doctors Appt.

Today was Brennan's first trip to see the doctor. He did awesome. Brennan weight was 7lbs 10oz which means he has gained 8oz since we have left the hospital instead of the typical weight loss of 10%. He is also at the 90% for his height (21 1/4in) and 30% for his head and his weight. His color looks great as well as his cord and circumcision. We go back next Monday for another weight check which should be a problem by any means.

Grandma and Grandpa

Today Grandma and Grandpa M came for a visit. Liam kept looking out the window waiting for them, he was so excited (us too). It's the first time they have seen Brennan since he was born. We were so glad that they were able to come. Wish their trip wasn't so short.Mitchell holding Brennan, until he realized he still has his umbilical cord and freaked out passing Brennan off to Grandpa M. Do I see a career as a doctor? lol.

Game Day

Today is Brennan's first College Football Day, so of course we (Aunt Shannon and Mommy) got him dressed for the game. Roll Tide Roll!

Coming Home

On Wednesday afternoon, we were able to take Brennan home. Liam is still confused and thinks Brennan is Baby Judah (Kayla's son). Liam is definitely very concerned when Brennan crys and is going to make an excellent big brother.Brennan in his car sit waiting to get the okay to go home.

Welcome Brennan Jay

Brennan Jay Gilmore was born yesterday at 7:49pm. He weighed 7lbs 5oz and was 20.5in long.

38 week checkup

Today was my 38 week checkup for baby duo. My weight was at 19o again this week but my blood pressure was definitely elevated to 124/84. I also had protein in my urine this week. Because of these two things, the doctor was concerned I was starting to develop preeclampsia. She asked if I was showing any other symptoms that may be of concern and not to hesitate to call if there are any changes. She also didn't want to wait another week to see me, she would like to see me earlier in the week. Because I didn't develop preeclampsia last pregnancy (and I think because I had Liam) she didn't send me to the hospital.

Other notables of my appointment was that I tested positive for my strep b test, which surprised me since I was negative with Liam. I also have dilated to 1cm and am 50% effaced. My contractions are still maintaining at 1o min. Hmmmm......not much longer.

A Short Liam Story

Liam: Nooooo (as he shakes his head)

Liam: Hiney pooped.

Ducks

Today Clay decided to brew, which is good because I don't know the next time he'll get a chance. That being said, I took Liam to the park to feed the ducks and to get out of Clay's way. Plus it stinks really bad when he starts the boiling process and I didn't want to be near that smell and pregnant. Here's Liam and I feeding the ducks. There was one duck that kept eating out of our hands, which Liam loved. I only got him to do it once while I had the camera out though.
