6wks
Today Brennan is 6wks old. I don't know where the time has gone. On Friday he started to coo and on Saturday morning he started smiling for the first time. I love that he is becoming more of a baby and less like an eating, sleeping, pooping machine. We also drove to Bradenton this weekend for the first time with the boys. I really didn't know how that was going to go, but it went great. We decided to head home so that we could go to Angie and Devon's Halloween Party. It was fantastic getting out of the house and not being mom for a couple of hours. We also learned that Brennan is allergic to the cat. The poor boy broke out in hives while we where at my mom's house.

5wk Checkup
I received a phone call yesterday asking if I would switch Brennan's doctors appt from Thursday to today. Needless to say, we went today. Brennan is now 9lbs 12oz making him in the 80%. Holy chunky monkey batman! He is also now 22.75 in tall, putting him in the 81% for his height and his head is in the 20th. Also both boys got shots today. Funny, since it was Brennan appt. I mentioned scheduling Liam for a flu shot and they asked if I wanted to do it then so I didn't have to make an additional trip. Yes please!
Brennan has had some issues with keeping food down and as well as laying down for naps (key word down). I cut out dairy to see if it would help thinking it gas, but it really didn't make much of a difference. We even put a towel at one end of the crib to elevate one side higher than the other. That didn't work either; we found Brennan upside down after his nap. He wants to eat every two hours or less, vomits, chokes and gags after eating, gasps for air, and screams when you lay him flat. Turns out his has acid reflux. Poor boy. He now has meds that I can give him twice a day to help and it should get better soon. (PS he's sleeping)
He also favors his right side for naps and well everything else. Doctor Mas said he has started to develop what's know as torticollis. I need to do some exercises with him at home to see if we can prevent it from processing all together as well as avoid him getting a flat head. If it doesn't get better, we'll have to take Brennan to a physical therapist. Worse case scenario, he'll have to were a helmet, which let's face it, he'll never live that down in this family.

Fixing the Car?
Soccer
On Saturday morning, I loaded up the boys and drove to Orlando to see my youngest brother play soccer. It was the first game I have drove to where he won, and also scored a goal. Woohoo! We had a blast seeing everyone. Grandma M gave Liam candy, and a team mates mom gave him a doughnut, and there was also playground.
Liam played on the playground during halftime with Grandpa while Grandma held Brennan.Lunch with Grandma and Grandpa at Bahama Breeze. We were trying to get Liam to smile big.
Grandma M taught Liam to blow bubbles into my water (thanks Grandma). Then when he got bored with that he started to stabbed Shannon's burger.

1mth
I can not believe that Brennan turned one month yesterday. I have been so busy just trying to keep up with having two kids and attempting light housework. I've also been trying to coordinate everyone for Brennan's Baptism, which less face it, planning around five families schedules is next to impossible. But I made it work. Part of the problem was that my brother, aka the godfather, just got word that he is being deployed soon.
Other things from this week is that Gramps came down. He had a doctors appt and came here afterwards to meet Brennan and join us for lunch. Also this week, after the monsoon rains we had, the ants were in full force. Liam went to retrieve a ball and got bite...a lot. On his left foot he had 29 bites, 11 on his right, and 10 on his hand. Poor kid. It just looks painful.

Lake Front Property
We had over 24hrs of monsoon force rain and wind this weekend. When the weather had a small break, we let Liam and Jager outside to burn off some steam. I mean how often can they play in the rain and there not be lighting.

Things I've Missed
Going to be a Long Weekend
Clay and I decided to start sleep training this weekend. Brennan will be 4 weeks old on Monday (crazy, where did the time go) and we feel that it's time to start. I can't hold Brennan all day, everyday and try to watch/manage a toddler. As much as it kills me to listen to Brennan scream himself to sleep, I know in the long run it will make him a better sleeper. We plan on tackling his naps first, then bedtime. Here's hoping he catches on quicker than Liam did.

Early Start
Today was a loooooong day. First of all Brennan started his day at 3am this morning (and stayed up until 3pm). He was having a lot of gas issues last night. I think he might be lactose intolerant like Liam is, which means this won't be the only night he won't go back to sleep. This was followed by Liam getting up at 5am. He woke up because his last molar is finally breaking through the gum line and he was running a fever of 102. Needless to say, I'm tired, and I've got two over tired children who didn't nap at all today.
