State Cup

 This weekend was State Cup for Mitchell.  We had a great time while every one was over here. Liam and I went to two different games and Mitchell's team won all three games while he was here as well as scoring a goal. Here's Liam playing with Grandma M through the sports umbrella.

 Grandma M gave the boys their Easter baskets which had socks in there. Brennan wore them all day and got angry when we took them off to put on his pj's. So we ended up having to put them on over his pj's.

Oh What a Week

Today I took my little pirate for his follow up with his pediatrician.  Brennan's eye didn't heal as quickly as she would have liked so she said it was time to go see the pediatric ophthalmologist  Plus they would be able to see the scratch better and have a better idea how to proceed.

 However, before we left, she was concerned with Liam's cough.  With good reason, he apparently has the start of pneumonia and a double ear infection. After checking Liam's ears, she double checked Brennan's who also has an ear infection.  Above is Liam getting a breathing treatment before we left the doctors office. He's smiling because he looks like an astronaut.

 Dr. Teether couldn't believe Brennan was so calm for having a scratch on his cornea and his inner eyelid.  He also said that Liam got his eye really good.  We are to continue giving Brennan the ointment inside his eyelid and the outside lid and he also gave us a new set of drops for his eye.  He doesn't feel that the scratch will cause any scaring but we need to watch him closely and if any changes we need to call right away since there are 3 different scratches where an infection can get in. He no longer need the eye patch either, yeah! small victory.

My Pirate

 Here is my happy go lucky pirate as of yesterday afternoon. Last night Liam got mad and shoved a toy missile into his eye. The on call doctor seemed to think he was ok since he wasn't crying, tearing, or rubbing his eye.  But since it's his eye, I wasn't going to hope for the best.  Even the ped thought since he wasn't crying, tearing or rubbing it was fine but would take a look for me anyways. Boy was she surprised to see that it is scratched. He now is on eye drops and has his eye patched and tomorrow morning we go back to see if it's healing correctly or whether he need to go and see the pediatric ophthalmologist

This Week

 

Brennan is such a monkey. He climbs on everything. This time it was the highchair, and right as I was taking this photo, I had told Clay we really need to put it away before Brennan gets hurt....
