Nothing but Rain
We've had nothing but rain for over two weeks now and I'm starting to go crazy. I do not have indoor boys and I'm running out of creative ideas to keep them entertained.
We've baked cookies, colored, painted, played with play dough, made volcanoes, built blanket forts and bought new flashlights for them, and had movies with popcorn. We've pulled the kiddie pool onto the back porch for an indoor swim day and also have done bubbles in the house, on the tile of course. Here Brennan is watching Finding Nemo.
We even went to Chuck E Cheese's, which is running a all kids are winners special so both boys got 5 free tokens so I didn't have to buy any while we were there. Wish I had more photos, but it was just me and the two boys, needless to say my hands were full.
Waiting on their pizza.
Yesterday we pulled out the tent houses

Back When we Still had Sun
Couple of weeks ago we had sun. Can you believe it? I know, it feels like a faint memory. Anyways, Liam was playing with chalk outside and this is what he drew. Can you guess who is on the left? Liam said it was Jar Jar Binks.
In this photo, Liam says the guy on the right is saying "hey, I got your back".
Brennan playing in mulch
Watercolors. The only "craft" Liam will sit down for.
One night, both Clay and Dane had to work late so Kayla and I took the kids to Cracker Barrel. The kids were so good and ate all their food. We then went outside for checkers and rocking chairs. Some how, we got all of the kids to sit for a photo.

Singing
Lately Liam is really into filming himself while he sings random songs. This is one of our favorites right now.

Turkey Creek
Thursday I took the boys to Turkey Creek to burn off some of that energy before naps. It was actually a very nice day and wasn't too hot. Here's Liam on the boardwalk heading to the creek. I asked for him to do a serious smile and not a cheesey one, this is what he came up with.
Exploring on their own.
Let's run!
Sitting at the creek watching turtles and fish.
Cool spider, not sure what it is. But I think it's a type of Orchard Spider.
I think this is a Tussock Moth Caterpillar.
Blue tail skink. We also saw three raccoons, which any where else would freak me out. These raccoons have adjusted their schedules to when people come into Turkey Creek in the hopes for food.

Sparklers
For the 4th, the Derniers came over for dinner and fireworks. The kids had a blast. We had shaved ice, watermelon, sparklers, pop-its, and glow stick, not to mention the awesome firework display done by our neighbors. Here are some photos of our fun with sparklers. Above Liam and Poppy aren't too sure of the first around.
Liam and another cheesey face.
Poppy trying to blow out Judah's sparkler.
Brennan was too scared of the sparklers the first night. This was his first sparkler ever, but on the 5th instead. He's so proud of himself for holding it alone.
Almost out.
Day Two of Sparklers, and a cheesey face.
How does it do that?

Liam loves his wedgits
He's also into cheesey faces if you take a photo
Mr. Cool out for a run

Another cheesey face
Problem solving at its finest, and yes Mom his tongue is out.
More wedgits. He loves those things.
