Updated Living Room Shot

 So I know it's been awhile since I updated the photos for our living room. So here it is.  This year for my birthday, I used the money I received to buy a new rug.  I've been wanting a new rug for awhile but couldn't justify spending the money with two small kids at home. The old rug is... well old, has runs, and is so boring.  It was a light color and showed everything, and a loose looped pile which snagged on everything.  Here is my new rug and I'm so happy with it. 

In November, I got custom family photos of the boys (seen above) and wanted to hang them in our hall.  Michael's was having a buy one, get one sale on picture frames around Christmas.  Woohoo, score!  Well the new photos and frames made my crappy desk and chair look even worse.  Therefore, I went shopping to replace the desk, chair, and lamp.  This whole look was under $300. Got to love a good deal.

6mths Check up

 Today Brennan had his 6mth checkup.  He is now 17lbs 8oz (50th %) and 28 3/4in long (90th %).  This was his first appointment were he didn't have an ear infection. Yeah!  He has meet all his milestones of babbling, laughing, rolling over both ways, sitting up, looking when you call his name, and ahead of schedule with crawling and climbing.  The doctor said she could still hear the heart murmur and would like to do an echo of his heart. Although I think the receptionist forgot to schedule it, since I don't have a card for it.  Brennan also had two shots today, which I felt really bad about because his brother decided to bite him before we left for the doctors.  In a couple of weeks we will go back for a nurses visit for a booster shot for Brennan as well as Liam's 3yr wellness appointment.  I scheduled them together since their office is moving 30min north of here.  Above is Brennan after his shots.

We also started solids yesterday with avocado, which was a big hit.

Easter Egg Hunt

Today one of the moms from our mom group hosted an easter egg hunt at her house.  The kids had a blast and I know all us mom enjoyed all the yummy food.

 My cousin Christine got married in Orlando yesterday.  It was a gorgeous outdoor wedding and the weather couldn't have been more perfect (with the exception of it being a couple of degrees cooler).  The best part was that the boys were so good during the whole thing.

New Camera

YEAH!!!! Clay loves me. He got me a new camera for my birthday and he gave it to me early so I can charge it and figure out the new controls work before my cousin's wedding this weekend. Here are some fun shots from today.

It was the Craic

 Yesterday was our fourth annual St. Patty's Day Party, and our largest yet.  I made 8.5lbs or Corned Beef, 6qt of Beef and Guinness, 3.5qt of Parliament Bean Soup, 3.5qt of Potato and Leek soup, 2 batches of bread pudding with homemade butterscotch sauce, and all that is left was a couple slices of Clay brown bread and about a cup of the bean soup.  We were shocked that the corned beef was gone in less than 20 minutes (above).

 Clay brewed a Guinness clone and an Irish Red for our party as well as baked four loaves of bread.

Liam gets so excited when Brennan nap time is over.  I think it's partially because he loves to climb into the crib and get his baby brother.

More Spider

 So the spider returned last night to our backyard.  Naturally we did more research.  This spider is known as a neoscona crucifera because of the cross like pattern on its abdomen and grows quick large (ours is about 3.5inch in diameter).  It is also known as a barn spider and is the spider that is featured in Charlotte's Web.  It spins its web at night and by dawn it takes it back down again.  Thankfully its harmless, unless your a bug.

Holy Spider Batman

 So last night Clay was in the back yard and narrowly missed this spider. This sucker is freak'n huge. It's just slightly smaller than a tarantula. Apparently it's a type of orb weaver spider that is basically harmless, nocturnal garden spider (phew) known as neoscona crucifera. Sounds creapy right?

The Boys

 Now that Brennan is getting a little bigger, Liam loves playing on he floor with him. Liam gets him toys, makes him laugh, tries to get him to crawl, and always makes sure that Brennan has his blanket. Here are a couple pictures of the boys playing together.

Farmers Market

 Yesterday we took the boys to the local farmers market in downtown Melbourne.  We got oranges, strawberries, avocados, red peppers, and zucchini.  I found fudge, which lasted about two seconds and Clay got some weird cheese spread item, lol.  It was so nice outside that we decided to eat lunch at Mustard's Last Stand.  Liam ate his whole hot dog, my onion rings, Clay's chili cheese fries, and a half of a pint of the strawberries we just bought.

Sinus Season

So it's that time of year again were all the boys in the house, including the dog, have a runny nose and a nasty cough. My poor family. Well at least this year Liam can finally take something for it, but poor Brennan. After being sick for over a week, I finally broke down and called the doctors office to get his cough checked out just in case it was something more serious than just sinus drainage. I filmed Bren so she could hear the cough since less face it, if you bring a kid in with a cough they won't while your there. Well the cough was from sinus drainage but he also had a double ear infection.  Glad I called.

Teething

 So Brennan is in full blown teething mode.  Unfortunately, he is not a good teether.  The kid that never crys, well does and a lot, and is much louder than Liam ever was when it comes to teeth. Above Bren is chewing on a bowl, and below he is chewing on a foot. Yep, that's right a foot.

One Cold Sunday

 In the beginning of Feb, it was 35 degrees on our way to church one Sunday. Needless to say, we all had to bundle up.  Brennan is wearing a hooded jacket with bear ears and Liam is wearing his froggie cap that Grandma Marney made.
